Abstract:Backscattering directly affects the lock-in threshold of ring laser gyroscope, and it is one of the main factors that hindering the further improvement of ring laser gyroscope accuracy. At first, the relationship between backscattering and lock-in phenomenon is explained, and the causes, classification and analysis methods of backscattering are introduced. Secondly, typical detection and suppression methods of backscattering are briefly described. Finally, the research on backscattering in ring laser gyroscope is summarized, and the prospect in the future is presented. This review is of guiding significance for backscattering control in the production process of ring laser gyroscope, and is helpful to improve the accuracy of ring laser gyroscope.
